    The Advantages of Gym Tiles

You've probably invested a lot of money into your gym, right? It's important to have flooring that will help protect your expensive equipment and weights. But that's not all these tiles are good for. Here are some of the many advantages that gyms see from using tiles:

    Prevent injuries

Gym tiles help protect weights from bouncing back and causing injuries. Rubber tiles are also very shock absorbent, so they will help make exercises easier on your joints.

    Personal touch

With gym tiles, you can use different colors to create a design or pattern if you want to add a little extra style to your space.

    Easy to clean

Rubber is extremely easy to take care of. All you need to do is sweep or vacuum it whenever it's needed and occasionally use a damp mop with a mild cleaner to keep it in top shape.

    Absorb sound

Rubber will help absorb sound from noisy machines and heavyweights.

    Durability

Rubber gym tiles will last for years down the road because they are tough enough to put up with wear and tear and heavy foot traffic.

    Foam Gym Tiles

    • 5/8" is great for light to medium exercises.

    • 7/8" to 1" is great for martial arts, wrestling, and high impact workouts.

    Rubber Gym Tiles

    • 3/8" is most popular for commercial gyms

    • ½" to ¾" for commercial gyms and CrossFit gyms

    • 1" is considered an ultra-thick option. These tiles are great for using on playgrounds. This thickness is also used over plush carpet.

How to Install Gym Floor Tiles?

Installing gym carpet tiles and rubber gym tiles are known for being extremely easy. But keep in mind, if you plan on installing a really large area, then it can also be very time-consuming.

Think of these tiles as a large jigsaw puzzle. They come in three styles: center, border, and corner tiles.

    1. Clean your subfloor to make sure it's free of any dirt and debris.

    2. Start laying your tiles:

    • If using center tiles, then start in the middle of the room and work your way out.

    • If using corner and border tiles, start in one corner and continue up the wall. Start using center tiles to lay them down toward the middle of the room.

    1. Cut off any access that you have by using a utility knife and a straight edge.

How to Clean and Maintain Gym Tiles?

One of the many great things about rubber gym tiles is that they are extremely low maintenance and easy to care for.

    What to do:

    • Make sure you sweep or vacuum your tiles on a regular basis to keep them clean from dirt and other debris.

    • Make sure you wipe up any spills or other liquid as soon as you see it appear. You can use a sponge, rag, or a soft cleaning brush.

    • You can also mop rubber gym tiles when needed. Just make sure you use a neutral pH cleaner.

    What to avoid:

    • You'll want to avoid any products that are acidic, acetone-based, or contain turpentine.

    • Stay away from scouring pads and steel wool sponges because they could scar the surface.

    • Make sure you don't saturate the floor with water and that the mop you use is only damp.
