    Preparation

Clean the Subfloor: Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and free of debris. Measure the Area: Measure the installation area to determine the amount of underlayment needed.

    Laying the Underlayment

Positioning: Lay the underlayment rolls or sheets out on the floor. Allow the material to acclimate for 24 hours. Cutting to Fit: Trim the underlayment to fit the room's dimensions using a utility knife.

    Securing the Underlayment

Loose Lay: For floating floor installations, simply lay the underlayment without securing it. Gluing Down: Apply adhesive as recommended for the type of flooring being installed. Mechanical Fixing: Use nails or staples for installations requiring additional security.

    Finishing

Seal Seams: If required, use tape to seal the seams between underlayment pieces to ensure a continuous moisture barrier. Install Flooring: Proceed with the installation of your chosen flooring on top of the underlayment.
